I bought this torch to replace my old trusty festival torch since I wanted something a little bit brighter and more compact to take with me.

Both the build quality and craftsmanship of this torch are quite good, it looks and feels like a very well made torch. It’s also fairly compact at only 10cm long and under 4cm in diameter at the widest point.

The light given out is clear and sharp and very bright for an LED torch. Obviously since it uses LED’s it’s no good for lighting over long distances but for anything up to 25m it copes easily.

The only drawback that I’ve found is that sometimes when you turn the torch on it only gives a very faint light. If you give it a shake or tap it on something it lights up properly though. Seems like this is due to the battery holder that fits into the handle – sometimes it doesn’t quite sit right. Not really a big problem though.

Overall I’m very happy with this product and would recommend it for anyone that needs a bright LED torch that is compact and sturdy.

I bought this torch when price was slightly higher. It worked excellently for about 12 months and thenstarted flickering. after a while it eventually stopped working completely,. It seems very well made from the outside but the internal workings are cheep and cheerfull. not worth the money

When I received this item, I unpacked it, I read the instructions, I switched it on, after 60 seconds it set on fire and broke.
I didn’t manage to even introduce it to a painted wall.

Could be a faulty unit but it doesn’t instil confidence when the mains appliance you’re holding spontaneously combusts.

I returned it for a refund.

I love draper tools – they’re so no nonsense. This is a good, reliable no frills hot air gun. Just be careful if you arent used to using one of these – and dont make the daft beginners mistake I did and use it on plaster – the plaster WILL bubble up and come off in large chunks!!!

Having looked at a number of mitre saws I settled on the GMC because it offered the best range of features for the lowest price. I was a little hesitant because with saw blades rotating at high speeds, you also need to be pretty confident that a cheap model won’t cause a horrible accident through being poorly made. Nevertheless I went ahead, and it arrived promptly, in a very large box. I have since then used it extensively and I am delighted with it. Build quality seems fine, it is well put together and pretty robust. It works well, the laser sighting is a godsend – it makes the cutting and measuring process much easier. Unlike a jigsaw with laser sighting I recently bought from another manufacturer, on the GMC it is pin point accurate. I was so impressed that when I needed a circular saw I automatically bought the GMC model – which is also by the way a very good piece of kit.
